The word webinar is a blend of web and seminar. A webinar is an event held virtually which is attended exclusively by an online audience. It is an on-line seminar that turns every presentation into a real-time conversion for every participants anywhere in the country and in the world. A participants should be connected with internet to participate using PC, Mac, tablet or smartphone, can see and hear the speakers because of audio and video feeds.

When the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to work from home, suddenly the virtual event landscape exploded. Event managers re-evaluated which events translate to a digital space, and which ones needed to be cancelled, postponed, or re imagined. The pandemic pushed us to the tipping point, virtual events are here to stay, and they are only going to get more immersive and experiential as the delivery technology improves and producers become even more creative about how to deliver amazing virtual experiences.

Webinars are not going away any time soon, but they have become a part of the bigger world of virtual events. The possibilities are seemingly endless for access, experiences, cost-effectiveness, and more. If your topic requires a demonstration, screen sharing features in webinar tools will come in handy. Viewers will be able to see exactly what actions you are taking on your screen and follow along on their own if needed.

Webinars is an effective toll in absence of face to face seminars and communication. It reaches and engages a very specific target group. Allow them to ask questions, or pose questions of your own to the participants. Webinars enable you to utilize polls, chats and calls-to-action, or to show your viewers Power Point slides or videos. The more interactive your webinar is, the greater the impact of your message will be.

The Division of Zamboanga Sibugay uses webinar context in a positive light, while underscoring the importance for governments to support and protect teachers in this difficult time and to recognize the critical roles they play in educational system. Teachers are exposed in various webinars to support remote teaching sessions. This is to reach out teachers for new and current trends of teaching and learning in “New Normal”, thus an opportunity to become more empowered, creative and innovative and an avenue for teachers to be digitally and ICT skilled.
