Mt. View Farmers Register for RSBSA
The primary objective was to conduct a thorough registration of farmers in the RSBSA, an initiative crucial for identifying and supporting the basic sectors in agriculture.
The Municipal Agriculture Office of LGU Payao, Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay, under the leadership of Municipal Agriculturist Rovie C. Enriquez and Livestock Technician Dario L. Pascua, recently visited Barangay Mt. View to enroll local farmers in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA).
The primary objective of their visit was to conduct a thorough registration of farmers in the RSBSA, an initiative crucial for identifying and supporting the basic sectors in agriculture. This effort was greatly facilitated by the newly elected Barangay Kagawad, Hon. Rey G. Gamil, with robust support from Barangay Captain Hon. Pamfilo Peje Jr.
As the Purok Coordinator and Gulayan sa Paaralan Coordinator/ Chairman, I was invited to witness this significant event. The initiative began with an immediate organization of the local farmers, who came together to form the Mt. View Farmers Association.
The new association aims to unify the farmers under a collective identity, enhancing their ability to receive support and resources from various agricultural programs.
During the visit, the Municipal Agriculture Office team explained the importance of the RSBSA registration. By enrolling in this system, farmers become eligible for government assistance, including subsidies, training programs, and access to resources that can improve their agricultural practices and productivity. The RSBSA serves as a vital tool in ensuring that the benefits of government programs reach the grassroots level, directly impacting the livelihood of the farmers.
Hon. Rey G. Gamil played a pivotal role in coordinating this initiative, demonstrating his commitment to the welfare of the farming community in Barangay Mt. View. He has already set the date for the next meeting, where the farmers will elect officers for the newly formed Mt. View Farmers Association. This step is crucial for establishing a structured organization that can effectively represent the interests of the farmers and liaise with the Municipal Agriculture Office and other relevant agencies.
The registration event marked a significant milestone for the agricultural community in Barangay Mt. View. It not only facilitated the inclusion of local farmers in a national registry but also laid the foundation for greater organization and collective action. With the support of the Municipal Agriculture Office and local barangay officials, the farmers of Mt. View are poised to benefit from enhanced support and resources that will contribute to their growth and sustainability.
In a nutshell, the efforts of the Municipal Agriculture Office of LGU Payao, led by Rovie C. Enriquez and Dario L. Pascua, along with the proactive involvement of Barangay Kagawad Hon. Rey G.
